This alto glockenspiel served as a bar donor. It now
has a full complement of bars, including F#s and Bb, but the
finishes on the individual bars may vary.
Only one instrument is available at this price.The
Studio 49 GAd alto Glockenspiel has special steel sound bars
measuring 20 x 2
mm, and fabric-coated tubing for lasting durability. The tone is thinner than the AGd
2000, but still
pleasant. The pitch range is c2-a3 diatonic, with c1 being
middle C. Each instrument comes
with f-
sharp and b-flat bars, and one pair of PKS 3 mallets. The resonator box is made of
solid beech, and
includes a holder on the front of the box for the three extra
bars. The GAd coordinates
with
chromatic extension H-GA.
