This collection of developmentally sequenced curricular materials is the third
volume in a series developed by Roger Sams and BethAnn Hepburn based
elements from the Orff Schulwerk, Kodály and Dalcroze Eurhythmics
methodologies. Each of the 39 lessons found in the book contains four to eight
"pathways" that focus on different learning activities related to a particular
or song, such as literacy, ensemble skills, movement, improvisation and
composition. This structure allows teachers to individualize each lesson to best
serve the needs of their classroom. Book 3 covers quarter notes, quarter rests,

complement the lessons in the book. Teachers who do not have an interactive
whiteboard in their classroom can project the lessons and manipulate the
